RESOLVED, that the Texas Company be permitted to
reconstruct an existing filling station at the southeast corner
of George Street and Stryker Avenue, on the west 100 feet of
Lots 1 and 2, Block 99, West St. Paul Addition, in accordance with
plans approved May 7, 1959, and subject to the condition that
sidewalks abutting said premises be kept clean and free of ice
and snow at all times.

This is in the matter of the application of the Texas Company for a
permit to,reconstruct an existing filling station on property located
on the southeast corner of George Street and Stryker Avenue. The,
legal description-is: the west 100 feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 99,
West St. Paul Addition. The zoning is "commercial ", and has been
since the adoption of the Ordinance in 1922.
The property has a frontage of 100 feet along Stryker .avenue, and 100
feet along George Street resulting in an area of 10,000 square feet.
The adjacent land uses are: east and adjoining is a single - family
residence fronting on George Street; south and adjoining is a'dry-
cleaning and shoe repair store which fronts on Stryker Avenue; north
across George Street is the Riverview Baptist Church which fronts on
Stryker Avenue, and also a two -story multi -type residence which
fronts on George Street; west across Stryker Avenue are'vacant lots
and single-family residences fronting on Stryker Avenue.
The Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which beets standards for
this type of facility. Field investigation discloses no objections
from the standpoint of adjacent land uses.
Inconsideration of the-above factoirs, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of this permit to reconstruct an existing filling sta-
tion on the above'de §cribed property in accordance with plans
approved May 7, 1959.

They wish to install 2 islands, 4 pumps, 4 -4,000 gallon
and 1 -550 gal underground gasoline storage tanks.
We have investigated the foregoing and report that this
installation will be made in accordance with the National
Board of Fire Underwriters and the St. Paul Fire Prevention
Code and we recommend that permission be granted.
