WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museuns and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from April 5th through May 2, 1959 which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, 19useums and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditoriva, for more than eight hours per day-or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Operate switchborad, ventilating systems, also to supervisd during__
basketball games, conventions, home show, concerts and other events
held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstancest
No other trained help available to work during various activities
held in the building. This time includes Saturdays and Sundays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
