WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period
from March 1, 1959 to March 31, 1959, which rendered necessary the employment
of certain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours
per day, or forty hours per week, in doing the following work;
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and dircumstances=
Cleaning and remodeling the Police and Fire Alarm Rooms and Target Range
Room of the Public Safety Building.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOL �Dt That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provision of the
Counoil's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
