Whereas, The City of Saint

WHEEM, The City of Saint Paul is acquiring additional lands located in Ramsey County and
which are necessary for the improvement and extension of the Waterworks System for the
supply of Rater serving the City of Saint Paul; and I L
WHEREAS, An independent appraiser has been appointed by the Board of Water Commissioners of
the City of Saint Paul, with the approval of the City Council; and
WHMO, said appraiser has negotiated with the owners thereof for the purchase of a fee
simple title in a certain parcel of land designated Tract 1, which is situate in and com-
prises a portion of Lot 14 of Block 1 of James 1st Addition in the southeast quarter of
Section 18, Township 29 North of Range 22 West, at a maximum price of approximately $150.00;
and also has negotiated With the owners thereof for the purchase of a fee simple title in
a certain parcel of land designated Tract 5, which is situate in the southeast quarter of
Section 7, in Township 29 North of Range 22 West, at a max i ml,m price of approximately
$1,250.00; and
WHMWAS, the Board of Water Commissioners at its meeting held 19 February 1959 approved
said purchases as being practical and expedient and approved the acquisition of said titles
in said lands for the benefit and use of the Water Department of the City of Saint Paul and
for the considerations above set forth; -NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby approve and ratify said
action of said Board of Water Commissioners, said considerations to be paid out of the
Water Fund 23-B.
