09-1054Council File # 09-1054 Suspension 9/23/2009 Green Sheet # 3080776 RESOLUTION / CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 2 A resolution recognizing Jennifer Dunn, Ward 5 Legislative Aide, for her contributions to Ward 5 and the Saint Paul Cify Council 4 5 WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn was appointed by Wazd 5 Councilmember Lee Helgen on December 1, 2003, 6 and served as his Legislative Aide through September 11, 2009; and 7 8 WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn provided outstanding service to Ward 5 by being responsive to community 9 concerns and attentive to follow-up details; and 10 11 WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn is repeatedly recognized for her kindness, compassion, warmth and friendly 12 demeanor in her dealings with the general public, community groups, City staff, and other elected officials; 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 Presented by E�iL.I WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn has been an invaluable asset to Councilmember Helgen providing him with a discerning ear, demonstrating an inordinate abiliry to listen and provide critical feedback; and WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn contributed to the development of many public policy initiatives including housing, economic development, sustainability, public art, and the placement of news boxes; and WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn banned together with Ward 5 partners, inciuding the District 5, 6, and 10 Planning Councils, neighborhood block clubs, St. Paul Police Patrol Teams, the North End Justice League, the North End Business Association, Sparc, neighborhood schools, the Rice Street Action Team, and others, aptly representing Councilmember Helgen; and WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn, using her superior written and oral communication, strong reseazch and analytical skills successfully engaged with stakeholders on a host of community initiatives and special projects, including the Loeb Lake Study, Winnipeg housing development, Wakanheza Projact, youth and art initiatives, Blooming Rice Street, the Art Scoop, and Rice Street branding, just to name a few; and WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn also served as a Policy Analyst in Saint Paul City Council Research from September 1998 to February 2001; WHEREAS, Jennifer Dunn has departed 320-A City Hall, home of her Ward 5 family, to spend increased time with her children and to focus on her real estate business. Jennifer's daily presence in the Ward 5 office will be sorely missed, but the true friendships established there will endure; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Jennifer Dunn is duly honored for her exceptional service to Councilmember Lee Helgen, the Ward 5 community, and the Saint Paul City Council; and 09-1054 40 BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that Wednesday, September 23, 2009 is hereby declared to be JENNIFER 41 DUNN DAY in the Ciry of Saint Paul. 42 43 Bostrom Carter Harris Helgen Yeas ✓ Requested by Department of: By.
