An ordinance granting permission to

An ordinance granting permission to St. Francis
Casino of St. Francis de Sales Parish of St. Paul,
Minnesota, to widen the public roadway in the east
side of Osceola Avenue from Palace Avenue south to
the north line of Lot 3, A. H. Koehlerts Re arrange-
ment extended, approximately nine (9) feet, and to
pave such widened portion with concrete, and to
construct therein an integral curb, and to widen the
public'�'ioadway in the south side of Palace Avenue from
Osceola Avenue to Daly Street, approximately eight (8)
feet, and to regrade, gravel and oil such widened portion,
and to construct therein a new concrete curb. This is
an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the pre-
servation of the public peace, health and safety.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section 1. That permission and authority are hereby given
to St. Francis Casino of St. Francis de Sales Parish of St. Paul,
Minnesota, to widen the public roadway in the east side of Osceola
Avenue from Palace Avenue south to the north line of Lot 3,
A. H. Koehler's Re- arrangement extended, approximately nine (9)
feet, and to pave such widened portion with concrete, and to
construct therein an integral curb, and to widen the public roadway
in the south side of Palace Avenue from Osceola Avenue to Daly
Street, approximately eight (8) feet, and to regrade, gravel and
oil such widened portion, and to construct therein a new concrete
curb, and the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized
to issue a permit therefor to said St. Francis Casino of St. Francis
de Sales Parish of St. Paul, Minnesota, upon its compliance with the
following conditions, viz:
1. Said permittee shall:- perform said work- entirely
at its own cost and expense, and to the satis-
faction and under the supervision of the Com-
missioner of Public Works, andin accordance with
plans and specifications furnished by the Depart-
ment of Public Works.
a 2. Said permittee shall pay the cost of engineering
and inspection, and also the cost of the publication
of this ordinance.
3. Said permittee shall properly protect all excavations
made in the street both day and night so as to avoid
all damage or injury to person or property.-

5. Said permittee shall furnish a bond in the
f amount of $10,000 to the City of Saint Paul,
conditioned to comply with all the terms of
this ordinance, and to indemnify and save
the City harmless from any and all loss,
liability, judgments, suits, costs, charges,
damages or expense. -Ahat may accrue to person or
property occasioned by the performance of said
work.
6. Said permittee shall, within ten days after
the publication of said ordinance, file a
written acceptance thereof with the City Clerk.
Section 2. -This ordinance is hereby declared to be an
emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the preservation
of the public peace, health and safely.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
upon its passage, approval and publication.
