WHEREAS on August 11, 2009, the City of Saint Paul held its annual City Employee Cookout at
Como Pazk; and
4 WHEREAS a group of dedicated city employees volunteered their tune and talents to make this
5 year's cookout a huge success. The group planned activities for all ages, such as the new kickball
6 toumaments, clnnbing tower, jump castles, Pazks, Public Works, Police and Fire educational
7 demonstrations; and
9 WHEREAS, the planning of the picnic involves an incredible amount of detail to coordinate all the
10 events from finding a band, ordering the food, scheduling city volunteers, scheduling city vehicles for
11 display, marketing the event, send'mg reminder notices to ensuring post cookout clean up.

13 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Saint Paul City Council officially recognizes the
14 2009 committee and thanks them for their hard work and dedication to their fellow employees.
