An, ordinance amending Ordinance No. 7607, entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the° duties and responsi-
bilities and the minimum qualifications for the various classes
of positions.,in the Classified Service of the City,"
approved February 13, 1935, as amended. This is an emergency ordinance
rendered necessary for the preservation -of the public peace, health and
safety. : s
THE COUNCIL OF' THE- CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section, 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13,',
1935, as amended, be" and the same is hereby further amended by striking
out the "Minimum qualifications" in the specifications for i!Supervisor of
Custodians" and substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"High school graduation and four years.' experience as Senior Custodian-
Engineer, or two. years' experience as Assistant Supervisor of
Custodians. "
Section 2. That said ordinance, as, amended, be and the same is
hereby further amended by inserting in its, proper alphabetical order the
following specification for:

Duties and respon.sibiliti.es:
Under supervision, to assist the Supervisor of Custodians in directing
the cleaning of all public school buildings; and to perform related
work as assigned.
Examples of work performed:
To assist in planning, assigning, and supervising the work of janitor-
.engineers, janitresses, and other help engaged in the cleaning and
general care of school buildings.
To make periodic inspections '6f all school buildings as to cleanliness.
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduation and two years' experience as a 3ugior Custodian-
Engin.eer or higher.
