Peterson — Whereas, Pursuant to Council File No. 191246, bids were taken for the sale of property belonging to the De- partment of Public Safety, described as follows, to -wit: Lot 4, except the north 16 feet *hereof, and Lot 5, except the north WHEREM, , pursuant to Council File No. 191246, bids were taken for the sale of property belong to the Department of Public Safety, described as follows, to- wits{ Lot 4, except the north 16 feet thereof, and Lot 5, except the north 16 feet and except the west 20 feet of the south 20 feet of the north 36 feet thereof, Block 48, Auerbach & Hands Addition to the City of Saint Paul, and WHEREAS, the Committee on Lands fedommends the sale of the above - described parcel of property to JACK GORES & SON, the highest responsible bidder, for $12,200.00; therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Council hereby approves said recommendation and directs the proper City officers to convey said property to said purchaser by proper deed of conveyance upon the following terms; $1,220.00 to be paid down upon acceptance of the Land Committee, and the balance of $10,980.00 to be paid upon transmission of title to the purchaser; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proceeds of said sale be credited to the Public Safety Real Estate Fund 1051. Okoneski City Clerk Dear Sir: April 16, 1959 Re Disposal of Lot 4, except the North 16 feet thereof, and Lot 5, except the North 16 feet thereof, and except the finest 20 feet of the South 20 feet of the North 36 feet thereof, Block 4$, Auerbach & Hands Addition. The resolution of the Council authorizing the disposal of this property has been assigned to me for attention. The Valuation Engineer has placed a valuation on this property of $11,000. The Purchasing Agent advertised this property for sale and the successful bidder bid in excess of $12,000, and the contract authorizing the sale of this land has been sent to the Council for confirmation.
