WHEREAS, the City and Qunty Detention and Vorkhouse
Facility Commission has decided by resolution that the present
workhouse farm site located on the Upper Afton Road will no longer
be needed after the completion of the new workhouse facility; and
14HEREAS, the present workhouse farm site as described
above contains several farm buildings and a small residence that
have been used for the operations of the farm; and
WHEREAS, the Detention and Workhouse Facility Commission is
now planning the building of the new.agricultural program in
connection with the new workhouse facility and the materials and
buildings on the.old workhouse farm site can be utilized in the
construction of the new property;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: that the City Council of
the City of Saint Paul hereby grants permission to the Detention
and Corrections Authority to remove any or all of the buildings
now contained within the old workhouse farm property on the
Upper Afton Road to the new property located on Highway 100.
