Very truly yours, City Clerk MINNESOTA 8, l:'.Y::• Y:Y::' >`?RD OF ZONING, CITY OF SAINT PAUL #k #11NY701t151.232-233 1313 CITY HALL AND COURT HOUSI SAINT PAUL !, MINNIS01A ...:........................ ......... .......... ........................ ......................... ......... .............. ......................... .......................... December 29, 1958 Mr. Joseph Okoneski City Clerk Building Dear Sir: This is in the matter of the application of the Robin Hood Construction Company for a permit to erect and operate a 56 car private parking lot in conjunction with a proposed motor hotel, located adjacent to the northwest corner of Ninth and Minnesota Streets. The legal - description is a miscellaneous one, a copy of which is attached. The zoning is light industry. .The property has a frontage of 102 feet along Minnesota Street and 190 feet along Ninth Street, giving an area of 26,000 square feet. The adjacent land uses are as follows: northwest and adjoining is a three story brick building which houses the St. Paul Clothing Center, Hawkensen Printing Company, and the Capitol Stationary Manufacturing Company; southwest and adjoining is a gasoline station and private parking lot; southeast across Ninth Street is the Harkins Bowling Center; northeast across Minnesota Street is a gasoline service station and the Elk Laundry Dry Cleaning and pickup station. The Traffic Engineer has approved the layout of the parking lot, and the plans meet standards for this type -of facility. Field investigation discloses no objection from the standpoint of adjacent land use. In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the granting of this application for a 56 car private parking lot in accordance with plans approved September 18, 1958.
