RESOLVED, that Riverview Memorial Hospital be permitted to
install and operate a 33 -car staff and visitorts parking lot on
the west side of Mt. Hope Street between Prescott Street and the
Bluff, described as Lots 1 and 2, except the southerly 113.74 feet,
and except the alley, Block 3, Woodbury and Case's Addition, in
accordance with plans approved November 12, 1958, and,subject to
compliance with the provisions of all ordinances governing the
operation of parking lots, and subject to the further'condition
that sidewalks abutting the premises be kept clean and free of ice
and snow at all times.

Memorial Hospital a permit to establish a 33-car parking lot on the west
side of Mt. Hope St,, between Prescott St. and the Bluff, as more fully
set out in the attached letter.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of the Riverview Memorial
Hospital,for a permit to erect and operate a 33 car staff and visitor's
parking lot on property located on the west side of Mt. Hope 'Street
between Prescott Street and the bluff. This property is described as
Lists 1 and 2, except the southerly 113.74 feet, and except the alley,
Block 3, Woodbury and Case's Addition. The area was rezoned k'Ct' Resi-
dence on October 16, 1958.
The area to be developed has a frontage of 94 feet, more or less, along
Mt. Hope Street and extends westerly to a depth of 118.5 feet from
Mr. Hope Street, providing an area of 12,087 square feet, more or less.
The adjacent land uses are as follows: south across an alley are two
single family residences fronting on Prescott Street; east across Mt.
Hope Street is the hospital; west and adjoining are vacant, undeveloped
lots fronting on an alley without frontage on any street; north and
adjoining is vacant, undeveloped land which has a very steep Slope.
Field investigation discloses no objections from the standpoint of ad-
jacent land use. The Traffic Engineer has approved the proposed layout
and operation. The plans meet existing standards for this type of faci-
lity.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of the permit for a parking lot on the above described
property, in accordance with plans approved November 12, 19581
