WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, seum
and Stadia has reported in accordance with Section 53 of
the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during
the period from January 16 to January 31, 19591, which
rendered necessary the employment of certain employes
of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museum and
Stadia for more than eight hours per day or forty ours
per week in doing the following works
Necessary for maintenance of heating plant at
Municipal Stadium.
And, WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
Could not be handled by untrained personnel.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employes shown on the attached
list, who performed such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Council's salary ordinance, No. 6445.
