1 WFIEREAS, adverse action was initiated against the Sidewalk Contractor license held by
2 Residential Remedies, LLC d/b/a Residential Remedies, LLC (License ID#20040004740) for the Ciry of
3 Saint Paul, by Notice of Intent to Suspend License dated July 28, 2008, alleging licensee failed to submit
4 current insurance and bond information and pay delinquent license and late fees in the amount of
5 $223.00; and
7 WFIEREAS, licensee did not respond to the Notice of Tntent to Suspend License to contest the
8 allegation or submit the required insurance and bond information and pay delinquent license and late fees;
9 and
WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent to Suspend License stated that if the licensee failed to contest the
allegation or submit the required insurance and bond information and pay the delinquent license and late
fees by August 7, 2008, that the matter would be placed on the consent agenda to impose the recommended
penalty; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Sidewalk Contractor license held by Residentiai Remedies, LLC dJbfa
Residential Remedies, LLC is hereby suspended.

Remedies, LLC for the City of St. Paul.

Deaz Mr. Stangl:
The Department of Safety and Inspections (DSI� has recommended suspension of the
Sidewalk Contractor license heid by Residential Remedies, LLC dlbla Residential Remedies,
LLC far the City of St. Paul. The basis for the recommendation is as follows:
On March 7, 2008, you were sent a letter from the Department of Safety
and Inspections indicating that the Sidewalk Contractor license fees due
by December 31, 2007 were delinquent. You were given until March 28,
2008, to gay fhe license and late fees in the amount of $223.00 ($172.00 in
license fees aud $51.00 in late fees). As of today's date that payment has
not been received.
You were also asked to submit current insurance and bond information
with your payment. As of today's date that information has not been
received.
At tlus time, you have three options on how to proceed: •
You can pay the license and late fees of $223.00. If this is your choice, you should send
the payment and requested information dixectly to the Department of Safety and
Inspections at 8 Fourth Street East, Suite 200, St. Paul, Ivliunesota 55101-1002 no later
than Thursday, August 7, 2008. Iuformafion should be directed to the attention of

of the license and late fees will be considered to be a waiver of the hear]ng to which you
are enfitted.
2. If you wish to admit the facts but contest the penalty, you may have a public hearing
befare the Saint Pau1 City Council, you will need to send me a letter with a statement
admitting the facts and requesting a public heariug. We will need to receive your letter by
Thursday, August 7, 200&. The matter will then be scheduled before the City Councii
for a public hearing to determine whether to suspend your license. You will have an
opporhmity to appeaz before the Council and make a statement on your own behalf.
3. If you dispute the above facts, you can request a hearing before an Adiuiuistrative Law
Judge. At that hearing both you and the City will be able to appear and present witnesses,
evidence and cross-exanune the other's witnesses. The St. Paul City Council will
ultimately decide the case. If this is your choice, please let me know by Thursday,
August 7, 2008, and T will take the necessary steps to schedule the administrative
hearing.
If you have not contacted me by that date, I will assume that you do not contest the
suspension of your license. In that case, the matter will be placed on the Council's Consent
Agenda for approval of the recommended penalty.
