WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
t
period from August 30th through October 3, 1959 which rendered necessary,the employment
of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums -and Stadia,
Bureau of Auditoriu*, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating systems and supervise during auto
shows, meetings, banquets and other events held in the building..
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available to work during the various attractions
and auto showings held in the building. This time includes Saturdays
and Sunday s.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOIJTED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Councills
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
