A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to construct new sidewalk on the south side of
Burns Ave. from Reserve St. to Johnson Parkway, except where good and sufficient
sidewalks now'exist
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

We, the undersigned property owners, are
opposed to the installation of new sidewalk
in front of three sections of property on the
south side of Burns Avenue between Reserve-,
Street and Johnson Parkway, as is proposed in
preliminary order 19238+••
Approximately eighty perccent of all side-
walk area on Burns Avenue is in poor condition
or sidewalk does not exist. We feel that sing-
ling out three pieces of property for sidewalk
is not justified.,

The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration
the preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 1923841 ,
approved May 19th. , 19_,5L, relative to the construction of new
sidewalk on the south side of Burns Ave. from Reserve St. to Johnson Park —
way.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
