RESOLVED upon due consideration of the
p pertinent report
of the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings and
the City Architect, and the Council being fully advised in the
premises does hereby find and determine that the building designated
as 471 Temperance Street abutting along the west line of Temperance
Street, between Eighth Street and Ninth Street in the City of Saint Paul,
has been gutted and substantially'destroyed by fire, and the remainder
theraof, consisting principally of portions of its wa11S, constitutes.
a public nuisance in the nature of an imminent and substantial menace
to life, limb, and adjoining property and to travel upon and along
said Temperance Street; necessitating, in the interests of the public
peace, safety, and general welfare, its immediate wreckage and levelling,
and that said Commissioner and said City Architect hereby are authorized
and directed to forthwith enter upon the subject real estate and raze and
level all portions of said structure above the elevation of said
'Temperance Street.
