IOFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK NCIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONS DATE WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from Nb*ekber 1st to November 15th 1959 inc.,, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1 Repairing Filtration Plant equipment, 2 Working extra shifts at various stations. 3 Taking emergency calls at Storeyard: 4� Finishing installation of, and repairing water mains and service connections: i �5 Driving country crew to and from work: 6� Repairing headvall at Rice Creek and air vents in _ Mississippi River conduit. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and cdwaumstances : 1 Necessary to make repairs during low consumption hours. 2 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 3 Nights and Sundays. 4 In order to speed repairs and installations. 5 On account of scattered work locations, 6 In order to speed repairs. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
