WHEREAS, Robert F. Morehead, an employe of the Depart-
ment of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, was injured
on November 23, 1958, in a third party accident, while engaged
in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public
Safety, and the City has incurred medical expenses in the
amount of $38.00 therefor, and the employe, by reason of
said injury, was disabled for work for a period of one day,
being paid salary in the amount of $24.75 therefor; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by the
parties whereby the employe received the amount of $100, and
the office of the Corporation Counsel has received the amount
of $62.75 from William Fenyvesy, the other party involved in
said accident, to fully reimburse the City for its medical
expense incurred on behalf of said employe and salary paid
to said employe, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby authorized
to accept said settlement of $62.75, solely for the amount due
it in connection with the personal injury sustained by said
employe, on behalf of the third party involved in said accident
of November 23, 1958, and the proper City officers are authorized
and directed to sign the necessary releases; further, that the
settlement of $62.75 shall be credited as follows: $38.00 to
Fund 31 -G1 -A, and $24.75 to Fund _76C -1. 4

in the performance of his duties for the Department of Public
Safety, and the City has incurred medical expenses in the
amount of $38.00 therefor, and the employe, by reason of
said injury, was disabled for work for a period of one day,
