COUNCIL RESOLUTION— GENERAL FORM,

WHEREAS� The City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of
the City Charters the existence of an emergency during the
period from October 28th to November 5th which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the City
Clerk's Office for more than eight hours per day or forty
hours per week in doing the following work:
The office was open two nights until 9 P.M. for
instruction meetings for judges and for judges to
pick up supplies. The office was open from 6 A.Me
to 10:30 P.M. Election day. Preparing the machines
for the official canvas.
And WHEREAS., This emergency arose by reason of the following facts
and circumstances:
Preparing for the City Special Election, November 3, 1959.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby
authorised to pay the employees who performed such work in
accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary
ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
