Whereas, The Council of the City,
of Saint Paul has duly canvassed they
returns of the votes cast at the City
Special Election held in said City on
the 3rd day of November, 1959, upon the
ratification or rejection of Ordinance
No. 11,575, entitled:
"An ordinance authorizing and pro-
viding for the issuance of Twenty -
Three Million Five Hundred Thousand
Dollars "23.500,000.00) par value of
the bonds of the City of Saint Paul,

Whereas, The Council of the City of Saint Paul has duly
canvassed the returns of the votes cast at the City Special
Election held in said City on the 3rd day of November, 19599 upon
the ratification or rejection of Ordinance No. 11,5 75, entitled:
"An ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance
of Twenty -Three Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($23,'500,000,-00) par value of the -bonds of the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, upon the approval thereof by the electors of the City
of Saint Paul, for the following purposes, viz:
"For the purpose of acquiring school sites and grounds,
and constructing and equipping of new school buildings and additions
to existing school buildings, and for the purpose of the recon-
struction, repair, betterment, remodeling and equipping of existing
school buildings.
"This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary for the
preservation of the public peace, health and safety."
Whereas, It appears from said returns and the canvass
thereof that 57,303 electors lawfully voted at said election, of
'- whom 31 `891 voted in favor of the ratification of said ordinance
and 25,412 voted against the ratification of said ordinance, and
that the majority of those voting on said proposition declared
in favor of the ratification and adoption of said Ordinance No.
11,575,, therefore, be it
Resolved, That said Ordinance No. 11,575 be and it is
hereby•declared to have been ratified and'4adopted by the electors
of said city as required by the City Charter.
