therefor and hereby awards contract for the Grading of Virginia Street from
Maryland Avenue to Orange Avenue (except work to be done by City Forces) to
JOHN F. HAND EXCAVATING & GRADING COMPANY in accordance with City plans and
specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #7858 of said
John F. Hand Excavating & Grading Company for the contract price of $3990.00
(Plus Engineering $319.00 and plus Inspection $80.00 by City Forces) such bid
being the lowest and said John F. Hand Excavating & Grading Company being a
reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is
directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
Of Saint Paul.
