WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has heretofore brought condem-
nation proceedings with respect to parcels of property held by the City
of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Minnesota by Chapter
369, Laws of Minnesota for 1959, authorized the State and the City of
Saint Paul to sell or exchange certain lands in the Capitol area including
those parcels hereinbefore referred to,which are subject to the aforemen-
tioned condemnation proceedings; and
WHEREAS, one of the parcels involved is the City -owned block
bounded by Wabasha Street, Twelfth Street, Cedar Street, and Columbus
Avenue in the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, which parcel is now leased
by the City to Victor L. Fink, William W. Fink, and Alan K. Ruvelson,
doing business as V. & W. Parking Stations and Associates, under a lease
agreement entered into the lst day of February, 1959, for a period of
two years and eleven months or until terminated by a 30 -day written notice
by either party; and
WHEREAS, it now appears necessary and desirable for the City to
acquire possession of said property in order to permit a transfer of said
property to the State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Mayor, City Clerk, and Comptroller of the City
of Saint Paul are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Saint Paul, a notice of termination of said lease, to be prepared
by the Corporation Counsel, which notice shall terminate said lease as of the
31st day of July, 1960; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that office personnel of =the office of the Valuation
Engineer of the City of Saint Paul are hereby authorized and directed to serve
such notice on one of the above named officers of the said V. &. W. Parking
