THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That the Zoning Code, Chapters 60 to 64 inclu- sive of the Saint Paul Legislative Code, pertaining to Use Districts, Height Districts and Rezoning of certain properties In the City of Saint Paul, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended so as to rezone the following described property from "A" Residence District to "C" Residence District: That part of Lot 11 lying north of McLean Avenue in Block 33, Suburban Hills, at the northwest corner of McLean Avenue and unimproved English Street, according to the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for Ramsey County, Minnesota. O'Connell City Clerk Building Dear Madam: This is in the matter of the petition of Philip Cormican to rezone from "At" residence to "C" residence property located at the north- west corner of McLean Avenue,and unimproved English Street. The property is described as that part of Lot 11 lying north of McLean Avenue in Block 33, Suburban Hills, The property is zoned "AI' resi- dence and bps been since the enactment of the Ordinance in 1922. On March 30, 1960, the Commissioner of Finance reported the petition sufficient with the owners of 5 of the 6 (83.3%) tracts of land within the prescribed 100 foot radius having signed the petition. The site which is presently vacant has a frontage of 250 feet along McLean Avenue and approximately 64.13 feet along unimproved English Street, res lting in an area of approximately 16,033 square feet. The applica t proposes to develop it with an off-street parking lot in connects n with a proposed apartment building on the adjoining lot to the est. The property under consideration, combined with the propert adjoining on the west, produces an area of approximately 43,134 square feet. North and adjoining is vacant land approximately 20 feet above the property un er consideration; east,and across unimproved English Street is v cant land; south across McLean Avenue and Point Douglas Road are si gle- family residences; west and adjoining is the property recently cl ssified "Ct" residence which will be combined with the property un er consideration for the proposed development. The Board of Zoning considered this petition at their regular meet- ing on Junej 2, and recommend the granting of the petition to rezone The above described property from "A" residence to "C" residence.
