In the Matter of condemning and taking an easement 30 ft. in width for the purpose of
constructing and maintaining a public sewer (sanitary) in a tunnel below elevation 15.00
City of St. Paul datum and above elevation 15.00 City of St. Paul datum, said easement
being in the SF*, Sec. 36, T 29, R 23.
Said easement extending from Rondo Street to Rice Street beneath Lot 3, WESTERN ARU
ADDITION. The center line of said easement being described as followss Beginning at a
point that is the intersection of a line that is 157.50 feet West of and parallel to the
east line of the SE4 of Sec. 36, T 29, R 23 and a line that is parallel to Rondo Street
and 84.75 feet south of the north line of Rondo Street produced easterly, thence extending
on a straight line to Rice Street on abearing of N 20201 E.
under Preliminary Order 196591 approved April 6, 1960
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the,,same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to condemn and take an
easement 30 ft. in width for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a public sewer
( sanitary) in a tunnel below elevation 15.00 City of . St. Paul datum and above elevation
15.00 City of St. Paul datum, said easement being in the SE4, Sec. 36, T 29, R 23.
Said easement extending from Rondo Street to Rice Street beneath Lot 3, WESTERN ARFA
ADDITION. The center line of said easement being described as followss Beginning at a
point that is the intersection of a line that is 15 7.50 feet West of and parallel to the
east line of the SE4 of Sec. 36, T 29, R 23 and a line that is parallel to Rondo Street
and 84-.75 feet south of the north line of Rondo Street produced easterly, thence extend-
ing on a straight line to Rice Street on a bearing of N 24020' E.
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 250 -00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 19th day of
July. 1960 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
