COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM

COMMISSIONE
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance
with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from June 1, 1960 to June 15, 1960 inclusive
which rendered necessary the empliyment of certain employees of
the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours per
day or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Investigating air pollution complaints, and
Making laboratory tests
and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
Completion of tests requiring continuous attention, and
Checking locations where junk and debris are being burned,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the
employees who performed such work in accordance with the pro-
visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
