A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is. to reconstruct the sidewalk on both sides of
Osceola Ave. from Syndicate St. to Albert St., except where good and sufficient
sidewalks now exist
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

Dear Mrs. DeCourcy:
We received your letter of May 6 regarding Pre-
liminary Order 195889, regarding the reconstruction
of sidewalk on both sides of Osceola, from Syndicate
to Albert.
We installed new sidewalk only a few years ago in
front of our lot at 1396 Osceola; therefore, a new
sidewalk is not necessary.
Please adjust your records accordingly so that
there is no misunderstanding in case the other side-
walk, which is immediately east of our sidewalk, is
replaced.

To the Commissioner of Finance of the City of Saint Paul:
The commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the
preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 195889 f
approved Feb. 16th. , lg 60 , relative to reconstnictina
the sidewalk on both sides of Osceola Ave. from Syndicate St. to Albert fit.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $0.52 Per sq. ft. for mono. conc. walk 4"
thick. Extra work(Excay., fill, conc. rem'd, root cutting, drive crossings,etc.)
at extra cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part hereof.
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works x 40
4. Improvement is asked for upon petition
