PAUL FILE N OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RES LUTION- GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONE R DATE WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the peridd from July 1st to July 15th 1960 inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: (1 Repairing Filtration Plant and Pumping Station equipment: 2 Repairing water meter at 7 E. 6th St. 3 Working extra shifts, various stations. 4 Repairing water mains and service connections. 5 Driving country crew to and from work. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1 & (2) Necessary to do work during low consumption hours: B 3 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 4 In order to put mains and connections in service as soon as possible. 5i On account of scattered work locations. THEREFOREZ BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
