COMMISSIONE DATE_' Company is the contractor on City
Contract No. 60 -M -204, involving the
reconstruction of the Edgerton Street
i Bridge over the Soo Line Railroad,
and
Whereas, In Section 1, Paragraph 1.66,
F of the City of Saint Paul Specifications
it is provided that all employees of
said company on said project must be
Saint Paul or Ramsey
WHEREAS, The Sandberg Erection Company is the cot :' a .[ -j -j_ M Con-
tract No. 60 -M -204, involving the reconstruction of the Edg .05treet
Bridge over the Soo Line Railroad, and
WHEREAS, In Section 1, Paragraph 1.66, of the City of Saint Paul
Specifications it is provided that all employees of said company on said
project must be ' esidents of Saint Paul or Ramsey County, and
WHEREAS, Said company in conformance with the specifications has
requested qualified iron workers from the International Association of
Bridge, Structural and Ornamental Iron Workers, and
WHEREAS,'The Saint Paul City Council has been informed by the
Business Agent of Local No. 512 of said union, that said union is unable
to furnish qualified workmen who are citizens of Saint Paul or Ramsey
County, and
WHEREAS, Said Business Agent has requested the Saint Paul City
Council to grant the Sandberg Erection Company permission to use iron
workers other than residents of Saint Paul or Ramsey County on said pro-
-- t _ -ject now,- therefore,.be it y _
RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
grants the Sandberg Erection Company permission to use iron workers other
than residents of Saint Paul or Ramsey County on City Project No. 60 -M -204
the Reconstruction of the Edgerton Street Bridge, and be it further
RESOLVED, That the City Clerk furnish copies of this resolution to
the Sandberg Erection Company and to Mr. R. T. Palecek, Business Agent,
Local No. 512 of the International Association of Bridge, Structural and
Ornamental Iron Workers.
