RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $35.00 be allowed
under Contract G -1953 between the City of St. Paul and the St.
Paul Sheet Asphalt Co., said contract for Installation of
Grading, Roadway, Bituminous and Miscellaneous Work for the
Highland Rlayground Area located at 864 S. Snelling Avenue,
and said extra to cover lowering the grade of a small area
between the Recreation Building and the Tennis Court and
covering repaired area with green walk top, this work having
been requested by the Commissioner of Parks And Recreation And
Public Buildings, and agreement made with the contractor, and
a memorandum of said agreement having been filed with the
Com ptroller• and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract No. G -1953 was awarded to the St. Paul Sheet Asphalt
Co. for Installation of Grading, Roadway, Bituminous'And Mis-
cellaneous Work for the Highland Playground Area located at
864 .South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul.
During the course of the work under this contract, it was
found desirable to remove certain material and lower,the grade
to properly drain the small area adjacent to the Recreation
Building and Tennis Court and then cover the repaired area
with green walk top. Negotiations were conducted with the
contractor, who agrees to do this work for $35.00, which is a
reasonable amount for the labor and material involved..
It is, therefore, requested that a resolution be submitted
to the council authorizing this extra in the amount'of $35.00
to Contract G -1953 to cover the above described work.
