OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK n COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from June 16th to June 30th 1960 inclusive, which rendered necessary the employment of.certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: _ 1 Repairing Filtration Plant and Pumping Station equipment. 2 Repairing leak in meter hookup at St.John's Hospital. 3 Working extra shifts, various stations, 4 Repairing water mains and service connections. 5 Driving country crew to and from work. AND WH}SEWBI this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1 & (2) Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 3 Illness of employees on regular shifts: 4 In order to put mains and connections in service as soon as possible.
