RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor,. and hereby awards contract for the resurfacing of Cleveland Avenue
from Ford Parkway to Randolph Avenue in accordance with City plans and speci-
fications therefor hereto attached and the Famal Bid #8048 of said
E. J. Pennig Co"listruction Coo -for the contract price of $53,976,00 at unit
prices bid (plus $5397.60 Engineering and plus $1075.52 Inspection - by
City Forces) such bid being the lowest and said E. J. Pennig Construction Co.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and
hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the
proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract in behalf
of the City of St. Paul.
