WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of thelCity Charter, the existence of an emergency dur' Ix the
period from July 3rd through JulY+30th, 1960 which rendered necessary the employment of
certain employees of the Department of Libraries, auditorium, Museums and Stadia.,
Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing
the following work=
Operate ventilating systems and run ice plant, supervise and operate
P.B.X board during Pop Musical Ice Revue shows and summer skating
sessions held in the building.
and WHERFAS.,, This emergency arose;by reason of the following facts and circumstancest
No other trained help available to work during the events held in the
building, this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees payees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Councilts Salary Ordiance No. 6446.
