WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul by resolution,
Council File 197595, concurred In the action of the Board of Water
Commiss=ioners of the City of Saint Paul as set forth in the
resolution of the Board of Water Commissioners, dated June 10, 1960,
pertaining to the retention by said Board of certain professional
engineering services to be performed by The Prepakt Concrete Co.
in connection with tests to be donducted at the Dale Street Reservoir,
for which services the aforesaid company was to be paid the sum'of
$4,977.00; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared between the Board of
Water Commissioners of the City of Saint Paul and The Prepakt
Concrete Co. providing for such work to be performed by said
company for the sum of $4,977.00; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Water Commissioners,
as is also provided in the aforesaid agreement, to reserve unto
itself an option whereby it could retain the services of The Prepakt
Concrete Co, for the stabilization program it contemplates at the
Dale Street Reservoir, as outlined in the letter of The Prepakt
Concrete Co. dated April 22, 1960, addressed to the Board of Water
Commissioners, and as outlined in its contract proposal of April 22,
1960, directed to the Board of Water Commissioners, as modified by
the proposed option and test phase agreement, a copy of which is
hereto attached and made a part hereof by reference, which soil
stabilization program would then be conducted by said company for
a sum not to exceed $61,000.00, exclusive of the sum of $4,977-00
for the testing phase initially to be conducted by it; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby
concurs in the action of the Board of Water Commissioners, as
outlined in said Board's resolution adopted the 29TH day of JULY
1960, a copy of which is hereto attached and made a part hereof
by reference, and authorizes and directs the proper City officers
to enter into, on behalf of the Board of Water Commissioners, the
proposed attached test phase and option agreement.
