COUNCIL RESOLUTION— GENERAL FORM
RESOLVED, that Leo Pritzker be permitted to install and
operate a 14 car private off - street parking lot on property
located on the soruth side of Tenth Street between Jackson anti
Sibley. Streets, more particularly described as Lot 5, Hoyt's
Subdivision of Morrison Block of Hoyt's Addition, in connection
with applicant's apartment building on the north side of Tenth
Street between Robert and Jackson Streets, in accordance with
plans approved July 79 1960, and subject to compliance with the
provisions of all ordinances governing the operation of parking
lots and to the further condition that sidewalks abutting said
premises be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

Dear Madam:
This is in the matter`of the application of Leo Pritzker for a 14 car
private off- street parking lot on property located on the south side
of Tenth Street between Jackson and'SibleyiStreets. The property is
described as Lot 5, Hoyt's Subdivision of Morrision Block of Hdyt's
Addition. The zoning is light industry and has been since the adoption -
of the Ordinance in 1922.
The site is presently developed with a two -story building which the
applicant proposes to remove for the parking lot. This parking lot will
.be used in connection with the applicant's apartment building located on
the north side of Tenth Street-between Robert and Jackson Streets, and
will replace an existing lot now located on the east side of Robert Street
between Tenth and Eleventh Streets. The property under consideration has
a frontage of 44 feet along West Tenth Street, and a depth of 130 feet re-
sulting in an area of approximately 6;220 square feet.
West and across a public alley are commercial uses which front on Jack-
son Street; north and across Tenth Street- is the City Market; south and
across a public alley are commercial uses; east and adjoining is an apart-
ment building which fronts on Tenth Street.
Field investigation discloses no objection based upon existing land uses
within the area. The Traffic Engineer has approved the plan which meets
the required standards for this type of facility.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends the
granting of the permit for a 14 car private parking lot on the above
described property in accordance with plans approved July 7, 1960.
