IESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, materials, skill
and facilities necessary for fabrication in the shop or field, and erection on
the site, of a balcony and handrail and a protective cage around ladder on St.
Paul Water Department Standpipe located at Fridley, Minnesota to MINNESOTA FENCE
& IRON WORKS, INC. in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto
attached and the Formal Bid #8084 of said Minnesota Fence & Iron Works, Inc. for
the contract price of $3,273.00, such bid being the lowest meeting City
specifications and said Minnesota Fence & Iron Works, Inc. being a reasonable
and reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to
draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials
hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint
Paul.
