PAUL COUNCIL I NO +OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DATE Whereas, The Council of the City of Saint Paul has duly canvassed the returns of the votes cast at the City Special Election held in said City on the 13th day of September, 1960, upon ratification or rejection of an Amendment to the City Charter, with reference to Section 201 concerning the per capita tax levy limitation and per capita spending limitation, and Whereas, It appears from said returns and the canvass thereof that 32,459 voted in favor of the adoption of said Amendment to the City Charter and 28,030 voted against the adoption thereof, and Whereas, Minnesota Statutes, Section 410.12 provides that such amendment must be approved by a 55% vote of those lawfully voting thereon, and 53.66% of those lawfully voting thereon voted-in favor of such approval, therefore be it Resolved', °,That said Amendment to the City Charter be and it is hereby declared to have failed to receive the necessary votes cast, and therefore to have failed of passage. ti COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays DeCourcy Holland .— n .
