PAUL COUNCIL NO. 4-i9'/4�� IJ�J` OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C, UNCIL RESOLUTION - GENERAL FORM COMMISSIIONE � DATE Sept • 15, 1960 WHEREAS, The City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period. from Sept. 8th to Sept. 15th, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the City Clerk's Office for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Preparing the voting machines for the Election of Sept, 13th; lining up voting machines for delivery to voting places; placing voting machines in proper places after return; opening voting machines for off ical canvas, The Office was open three nights until 9 P.M. for instruction meetings; and was open from 6 A.M. until 11 :30 P.M. Election Day. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Preparing for the election of Sept. 13th, 1960. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
