In the Matter of constructing new sidewalk on the north side of Hoyt Avenue from the
existing monolithic sidewalk (approximately 252 ft. west of Gary Place) eastward to
Gary Place and from Gary Place eastward approximately 80 feet abutting Lots 34 and 35,
Blk 6, Hillcrest Center; also on Gary Place, the west side, from Hoyt Ave. north to
Iowa St.

A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council
having heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered
the same; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of St. Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be made by the said City is to construct new sidewalk on the north side of
Hoyt Avenue from the existing monolithic sidewalk (approximately 252 ft. west of
Gary Place) eastward to Gary Place and from Gary Place eastward approximately 80
feet abutting Lots 34 and 35, B1k 6, Hillcrest Center; also on Gary Place, the west
side, from Hoyt Ave. north to Iowa St.
and the Council hereby orders said improvement to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and submit same to the Council for
approval; that upon said approval, the proper city officials are hereby authorized and directed to pro-
ceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

The commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the
preliminary order of the Council, known as Council File No. 19803.3,__

ward approximately 80 feet abutting Lots 34 and 35, Blk 6., Hillcrest Center; also on
Gary Place, the west side, from Hoyt Ave. north to Iowa St.
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby
reports:
1. The estimated cost thereof is $0.52 per sq, ft, for pgo. cone. walk 41'
thick. Extra work(excay., fill, cone. rem'd, root cutting drive crossings.etc.)
at extra cost.
2. A plan, profile or sketch of said improvement is hereto attached and
made a part hereof.
3. Initiated by the Commissioner of Public Works
