WHEREAS, Thornton Bros. Company, contractor for the
Grading and Paving of the widened roadway on STILLWATER
AVENUE from White Bear Avenue to McKnight Road, Comp-
trollerl s Contract 1- 6077 -A, completed the physical
work on August 3-4, 1959, and have been paid in full
for all work performed by them, except that the RESERVE
in the amount of $ 1,000.00 is withheld, and
WHEREAS, due to delay caused by a shortage in the Con-
struction Engineer's Staff and a large construction
program last season, it was not possible to process the
final construction payment until the 2 .3rd-,; day of Decem-
ber, 1959, now theref ore,, _be it
RESOLVED, that the pro per City Officer s b e and t hey are
hereby authorized and directed to pay Thornton Bros.
