Since the closing of this public health menace, we can enjoy our property and homeowner privileges as other people do. The traffic has decreased considerably in the area, making it safer for our children to play. The odors are not so obnoxious as before the closing of the dump. The smoke has cleared and the'fires are finally out, making this a great pleasure, especially for women on washday. The eyesore has disappeared, the piling of debris several feet high is once more at grade level. As yet the problem of cockroaches, in some of our homes, has not been cleared, but some headway has been made. Up to the present time the rat situation has not been controlled. , Therefore we would like to thank Mr. Rosen, Mr Vavoulis, Mr. Cotter, Mr. Crea and all others concerned for the interest and hard work these men have put into this project.
