PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK COUNCIL RESOLUMN— GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER DAT COUNCIL NOI qF) '29 FILE WAEREAS, The City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from February 8, 1960 to March 10th, 1960, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the City Clerk's Office for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: The office was open until 9 P.M. from Feb. 8 to Feb. 16th for registration of voters; and March 2 to 4 for Instruction meetings for Election Judges; preparing and checking voting machines; lining up machines for delivery to polidng places; placing machines . after election; The office was open from 6 A.M. to 11 P.M, Election Day. ARID WIEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Preparing for the City Primary Election, March 8, 196o. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of ,the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
