A public hearing having been had upon the above improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations relative thereto, and having fully considered the same;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provem6nt to be made by the said City is
condemning and taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes,
cuts and fills in grading and surfacing the alley in Block 2, Weed & Lawrence's
Addition; Block 3, Elder Addition; Block_3, University Ave. Addition and Block 3,
Franklin Addition from Chatsworth Street to Milton Street
and the_Cnuncil hereby orders said improvements to be made.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the following land, lands or easements therein be and the same are
hereby ordered to be taken, appropriated and condemned for the purpose of making said improvements, viz.:
For slopes, cuts and fills in grading and surfacing the alley in
Block 2, Weed & Lawrence's Addition; Block 3, Elder Addition; Block 3, University
Ave. Addition and Block 3, Franklin Addition from Chatsworth Street to Milton
Street, to the extent shown on the plan on file in the officte of the Commissioner
of Public Works.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and is hereby instructed and
directed to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement, and the proper city officials are hereby
authorized and directed to proceed with the making of said improvement in accordance therewith.

taking an easement in the land necessary for slopes, cuts and fills in the
grading and surfacing of alley in Block 2, Weed & Lawrence's Add.; Block 3,
Elder Add.; Block 3, University Ave. Add., and Block 3, Franklin Addition from
Chatsworth Street to Milton Street
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby

the following described lines: Com-
mencing at the intersection of the
present northwesterly line of Lafayette
Road and the northeasterly right -
of -way' line of the Northern Pacific
Railway Company; thence in a north-
westerly direction along the said north-
