Adopted by the Council March 1, 1960. PRESENTED BY Approved March 1, 1960. COMMISSIONER (March 5, 1960) WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from February 16 to 29, 1960, which rendered necessary.the employment of certain employees of the Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Getting out an extra burden of seasonal work in the Recreation office and in- spection of the Workhouse job on holidays. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the follow- ing facts and circumstances: Acceleration of program activity in the Recreation Division, and operations on the Workhouse job did not cease on the holiday.
