Loss, employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint Paul, Bureau of Police, sustained an injury in line of duty on January 12, 1950, when the cruiser car in which he was riding was involved in an accident; and Whereas, Said employe filed a claim petition with the Industrial Commis- sion for compensation covering inter. 1 60-42 WHEREAS, Frgnk L. Loss, employe of the Department of Public Safety of the City of Saint haul, Bureau of Police, sus- tained an injury-in line of:duty on January 12, 1950, when the cruiser car in which he was riding was involved in an accident; and ' . WHEREAS, said employe filed a claim petition with the Industrial Commission for compensation covering intermittent periods of temporary total and temporary partial disability since April 1959, for an amount of permanent partial disability to the back, and for medical care, all of which was claimed to have been caused by said injury on duty of January 12, 1950; and WHEREAS, following the hearing on said claim petition, and on February 15, 1960, the Industrial Commission entered its Award on Stipulation based on a stipulation for settlement dictated into the record before the Referee of the Industrial Commission, a copy of which Award and Stipulation is hereto attached and made a part hereof; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that in accordance -with the decision of the referee and Award of the Industrial Commission, that Frank L. Loss be paid compensation covering 10-weeks "of temporary total distility together with 45 weeks of compensation covering 15 per cent permanent partial disability to his back, all at the weekly rate of $30.00, in the total sum of $1;.650.00, less the sum of $412.50 as and for attorney's fees, ,,which amount of $412.50 shall be paid to James Miley of the firm of Firestone, Fink, Krawetz, Levy and Miley; the balance of $1,237.50 to be payable to employe in one lump sum and without interest deduction; and that the outstanding medical bills attributable to the injury of January 12, 1950, shall be paid; and be it FURTHER hereby authorized in full settlement COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays DeCourcy Holland Mortinson Peterson Rosen Winkel Mr. President, Dillon 5M 7 -59 8 RESOLVED, That,,the proper City officers are to make the payments hereinbefore enumerated, of any and all claims the employe may have Adopted by the Council 19 Tn Favor Against Approved 19 Mayor y ORIGINAL TS CITY CLERK 196042 J CITY OF ST.
