remodeling, or wrecking and removal of the two story frame
combination dwelling and studio on property described as:
all that part of Lot 1 westerly of the following described
line: C8mmencing at a point on south line of said Lot 1, 53.80
feet westerly from the southeasterly corner thereof;. thence^
northerly 39.50 feet to a point 54.33 feet westerly from the
easterly line of said lot; thence northerly 33.54 feet to a point
on the northerly line of said Lot 44.95 feet westerly from the
northeasterly corner of said Lot 1, Re- arrangement of Block 62,
Rice & Irvine's Enlargement, according to the plat thereof recorded
in the office of the Register of Deeds of Ramsey County, Minnesota,
also described as No. 261 West FiftR'Street, because said structure
is reported to be dangerous ad unsafe to life, limb and adjoining

Dear Council Members:
Various inspections have been made of the two story frame
combination dwelling and studio at 261 West Fifth Street,
which is described also as: All that part of Lot 1 Wester-
ly of the following described line: Commencing at a point
on South line of said Lot 1, 53.80 feet Westerly from the
Southeasterly corner thereof; thence Northerly 39,.50 feet
to a point 54.33 feet Westerly from the Easterly line of
said lot; thence Northerly 33.54 feet to a point on the
Northerly line of said Lot 44.95 feet Westerly from the North-
easterly corner of said Lot 1, Re- Arrangement of Block 62,
Rice & Irvinets Enlargement.
Wood beams in the basement are burned and hanging loose.
Joists are of various sizes, some broken and split* Plaster
in the residence portion is very poor throughout. No ventila-
tion in the half bath on the first floor. Floors are uneven.
Front•and rear porches are dilapidated. Outside walls are
bulged. Building is generally run down and dilapidated, un-
safe and dangerous to life;.•limb, and adjoining property.
A Danger Notice has been posted and letters describing the
condition of the building have been mailed to Mrs,. Rose Frank
at the following addresses: 1653 Ford Parkway, St.-Paul 5,
and % Wm. Goldenberg, 2071 St. Clair Avenue, St. Paul 5.
Kindly set a hearing date in accordance with Section 1.07 -2
of the Building Code Section of the St. Paul Legislative
Code, dealing with condemnation procedure.
