WHEREAS, Alfred H. Schroeder, City Architect, having requested
the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints
about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a
dangerous shed at 448 Charles Street, more particularly described as
Except East 10 feet Lot 58, Block 15, Smith's Subdivision of Stin-
sonts Division of N.W. 1/4 of Section 36, Township 29, Range 23, the
City Council held a public hearing on December 27, 1960 to consider
the expense and to confirm the - amount thereof; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Council, pursuant to C.F. No.
195772, approved February 10, 1960, published February 13, 1960, set
a public hearing to consider removing the dangerous structure, and
the City Council by C. F. No. 196151 approved March 8, 1960, publish-
ed March 12, 1960, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost
and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in control there-
of, and the City Council by C. F., No. 196514, approved April 1, 1960,
published April 9, 1960, directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recre-
ation And Public Buildings to enter upon the premises and wreck and
remove the shed thereon and do any and all things therein necessary
for the,protection of life, limb and adjoining property, and that the
City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of $133.85 in removing
said shed;
WHEREAS, it appears that Mabel Beetsch, 4484CharJes Street, St.
Paul 3, Minnesota; is the owner of the premises; be it
RESOLVED, that we, the City Council of the City of Saint Paul,
do hereby confirm the amount of $133.85 to be the fair, true, and
reasonable amount for such services incurred in removing the danger-
ous structure; and,be it

lien against the property with the Register of Deeds.

We are attaching herewith a copy of Council File No. 200261
approved by the Council December 30; 1960 and published in
the official paper on January 7, 1961.
This has reference to the property at 448 Charles Street,
dexcribed as Except East 10 feet Lot 58, Block 15, Smithrs
Subdivision of Stinson's Division of N. W. 1/4 of Section
36, Township 29, Range 23, owned by Mabel Beetsch, 448
Charles Street, St. Paul 3, and confirms the expense in-
curred by the Ci* in the condemnation and wrecking of the
shed thereon, which amounted to $133.85.
As you will note, the final paragraph of this resolution
directs the City'Clerk to file at the office of the Regis-
ter of Deeds, a statement of expense incurred for the pur-
pose of securing a lien on the property, in accordance with
Section 1.07 -7 of the St. Paul Legislative Code.

Dear Madam:
Please file a statement of expense in the Office of the Register
of Deeds for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known
as 448 Charles Street, described as Except East 10 feet Lot 58,
Block 15, Smith's Subdivision of Stinson's Division of N.W. 1/4
of Section 36, Tn. 29, Range 23. The property is listed in the
'name of Mabel Beetsch, 448 Charles Street, St. Paul 3, Minnesota.
The expense was incurred by virtue of the-wrecking and removal
of the dangerous shed therefrom. Following is an itemized state -
ment of the expenses as per Registered Bill No. 4- 1871,. dated
October 20; 1960.,. copy attached.
