RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for Grading and Paving of Montreal Avenue
from Snelling Avenue to Fairview Avenue (M.S.A. Project No. 62- 168 -01) to
E. J. PENNIG CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specificatio;
therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8213 of said E. J. Pennig
Construction Company for the contract price of $50,879.60 at unit prices bid,
plus Engineering and.Inspection $5087.96 by City Forces, such,bid being the
lowest and said E. J. Pennig Construction, Company being a reasonable and
reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby,is directed to draw
up-the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby
are authorized to execute said contract in behalf of the City of St.'Paul.
