WHEREAS, an examination is to be given for the position of
"Junior Librarian", and
WHEREAS, it is highly unlikely t4at a sufficient list can be
established from among residents of the City of St. Paul, and
WHEREAS, it is highly desirable that competition be extended
to graduates of the University of Minnesota and other local colleges,
even though they are not residents of the City of St. Paul; therefore, be it
RES.OL.VFD, that the residence requirements for admission to
examinations as provided in Section 10 D. of the Civil Service Rules are
hereby waived for the first examination for "Junior Librarian' to be
held following passage of this resolution; date of the examination to be
set at the discretion of the Chief Civil Service Examiner.
