WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 63
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency, during the period from December 1, 1960
to December 31, 1960, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following works
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and oircumatancest
In the Public Safety Building shutting down the boilers, cutting the steam
headers off and rewelding theme
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDs That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Counoil19
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.,
